Growing up, Nick began gravitating toward down-and-outers, homeless people, and other social fringes, listening to their stories and hoping to better identify with their experiences and perspectives.
While getting his undergraduate degree, he skipped a semester his senior year to live with locals in Hungary. From there he traveled to Romania several times where some friends introduced him to street people. Through living with these marginalized young people in a sewer and elsewhere, he gained the understanding that removing those things that insulate us from each other’s experiences creates powerful social and personal change.
Early in his career, Nick hosted an adventure travel TV pilot in which he took a celebrity to immerse in the everyday life of people from an international culture. Before launching Break & Transform International, Nick worked as an organizational consultant, building and training various personal development programs and tools. His B.A. is in media production. His M.S. is in counseling studies.
