Alex Mic-Podar Director of Operations, Eastern Europe life motto|||failure is not an option
Alex was raised in northern Transylvania in a small, rural community famous for its tall tales and beautiful scenery. At the age of eight, her family moved to Budapest, Hungary, where she also learned to love big city life. Her strength of character and perspective comes from her experience of having grown up in impoverished surroundings, often living from meal to meal, and having learned to seize even the minutest opportunities for personal improvement.
She has a contagious passion for international travel, foreign languages, and cultures. In 2005 she fulfilled a lifelong dream of coming to the United States. During this five year stint, she completed a business degree, became fluent in English by immersing herself in the American culture, and built a successful business. She also used the time to infect her American friends with her passion for Eastern Europe.
Alex was chosen as the first Director of Operations, Eastern Europe not only because of her experience and her love for Eastern Europe, but also because of her passion for finding disruptive ways to awaken people from their everyday routines. And no matter how much she travels or experiences other cultures, Romania is always first in her heart.
